Two of our talented students, Chatuni Bhashitha and Onara Ginma, who studied robotics and inventions at the Mechatronics Institute of Robotics Engineering (MIRE), have achieved remarkable victories at the 2026 Badulla Zonal Science Day Competition. Organized by the Badulla Zonal Education Office - Hali Ela, they represented their school, B/Viharamahadevi Balika Maha Vidyalaya, and entered the competition at the school level.
According to the official zonal level competition results released on September 23, 2026:
Chatuni Bhashitha won First Place in the entire zone under the Grade 9 'Inventions Competition' (Sinhala and Tamil Medium).
In addition, Chatuni Bhashitha also secured Second Place in the highly competitive 'Arduino Technology Inventions Competition' held for grades 6 to 13.
Under the same 'Arduino Technology Inventions Competition', our other brilliant student, Onara Ginma, secured Fifth Place, bringing immense pride to both the MIRE institute and her school.
We believe that the practical knowledge in Arduino technology and robotics they gained through the MIRE institute has been a great support in achieving such outstanding victories in a competitive zonal-level tournament. Our goal of developing the creative abilities and modern technological skills of children from a young age is further validated through these achievements.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Chatuni and Onara for bringing pride to our institute and their school, and we wish them the very best in their future educational endeavors and journey of inventions!
